I was all about the byline. I registered the username "danifankhauser" on nearly every website. To put it succinctly: I was very online. As newspapers moved to the internet, the fight for SEO and then social media traffic forced news organizations and magazines to churn out more and more content. The quality dropped. Attention spans declined. And that was all before AI. The internet has become inundated with mediocre content. Everyone is selling something. The pages are endless, but very little of it is satisfying. Now, we're in another transition, as the Information Age shifts into what I call the Intuitive Era. Information is plentiful; now we're looking for meaning. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/75/3a/753af99f-cfaf-4d9c-bae8-0633e21d217c/content/images/2026/07/DaniF_540.jpg) In mysticism, everything is a mirror. *As above, so below* *As within, so without* In modern culture, we think of events happening in cause and effect. The Hermetic principle teaches us about something else entirely: synchronicity. The cosmos doesn't *influence* consciousness, so much as it mirrors back archetypal themes, keeping time with the movement of the planets. One could argue a leap in human consciousness allowed us to create AI. One could also argue the advent of AI will initiate humans into a leap in consciousness, taking away mundane tasks and forcing us to lean into the less mechanical, more creative side of our minds. Either way, a shift in technological intelligence also ushers in a shift in human intelligence. We're at a crossroads, a time of great change, and people are craving safety and security. But the old systems, the career ladders and governments and cultural norms, are quickly failing. We're realizing what we thought was certainty was actually an illusion. I'm not here as an influencer to dish out advice, because unfortunately, the conditions of the Intuitive Era don't work that way. Each of us is on a solo path and the best guide is the one inside.
